Turning of the Bull - Hawick Scotland July 2009

In the year 1313 our forefather, William Rule saved the life of King Robert the Bruce by turning an angry bull the king had wounded while hunting. For that act his name was changed to Turn-e-bull and in that act it was demonstrated to the nation of Scotland and through that nation to the world that choice not chance determines destiny. Robert the Bruce made a nation of the cland and began the process of modern democracy, mass education, and inductive reasoning that has shaped the world as we know it today.
